For the past thirty years, we, the ACID filmmakers, have been programming nine feature films each year during the Cannes International Film Festival.

This programme is the result of a collective process, which is not guided by any editorial line, and based on a simple guiding principle: as filmmakers ourselves, which films do we wish to support and accompany to the audience?

Choosing a film for our Cannes programme means making a strong commitment: to work with the film and its director(s) throughout its life in cinemas and festivals, in France and abroad.

We base our programme on the idea that if we had such a strong desire to program these nine films, then this desire will be transmitted to those who discover them after us. Nothing is more contagious than enthusiasm.

Calling you today to send us your films is to tell you in advance how much we are looking forward to discovering them, discussing them passionately, choosing them and then presenting them. ACID is the place where the most unexpected, surprising and unconventional forms can find their home. If our programme has this pioneering and unpredictable dimension, it is because nothing is less predictable than the singular and attentive views of filmmakers on the work of other filmmakers.

We know that films are objects that need to be cared for, and it is to this care that we commit ourselves. A care that goes hand-in-hand with our love for free and daring cinema, which we are certain, in advance, to share with you.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS 

Films must fulfill the following requirements: 

Feature films (fiction and documentaries running time 60 minutes minimum) 

Films with no previous theatrical release in France television broadcast, internet or VOD  

• World or international premiere
  
• Films not selected in Berlin / Venice / Locarno / Toronto / San Sebastian  
• Screening formats in Cannes: DCP with French and English subtitles 
• Films produced after May 1st, 2025
  
• For films without a French distributor: 
• Films produced for cinema (no television film) 

NB: Films that have been submitted to previous editions will not be reconsidered for ACID Cannes 2025, even under a different cut. 

ENTRY FEES 

Entry fees are required for each feature film submission:  

• Early bird: 35€ excl. tax until January 31st 2026
• 60€ excl. tax from February 1st until February 28th 
• 90€ excl. tax from March 1st until March 13th 

Payment is to be made through Hello Asso via the Festiciné platform. The preselection screening will be organized after the entry fees are paid.  

Entry fees are not refundable.
