Réalisateur et artiste plasticien, Ivan Marković est né à Belgrade et vit à Berlin. Ses œuvres explores les différentes connotations autour de la notion d'espace, et la relation entre architecture et idéologie. Ses films ont été montrés dans des festivals tels que la Berlinale, Doclisboa, Cinéma du Réel, la Viennale, New Horizons, Mar del Plata et Jeonju. Son premier long métrage, From Tomorrow on, I Will, co-réalisé avec Linfeng Wu, a remporté le Grand Prix du Festival de Jeonju et le prix First Steps de l'Académie Allemande de Cinéma.
